Purpose:

We seek a talented and motivated "Network Engineer III" to join our dynamic IT team. As a Network Engineer III, you will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity, optimal performance, and security. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address network-related issues, contribute to network design discussions, and implement best practices to support our growing technology needs by helping to design and support network elements. Analyzes, resolves, and reports on network issues. Must be able to weigh business needs against the need for network changes and articulate issues to management.
Essential Functions:
  • Assist in designing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks.
  • Support the implementation and management of network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, latency, and other related issues to ensure optimal user experience.
  • Collaborate with system administrators and security teams to implement network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
  • Participate in capacity planning and network expansion efforts to accommodate the organization's growth and evolving technology requirements.
  • Assist in the evaluation and integration of new networking technologies and solutions.
  • Respond to and resolve network incidents and service disruptions promptly.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members as needed.

  • Basic knowledge of network security principles and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
