Work Model: Office

The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience, ranging from $80,000 to $97,000.

Job Summary

Avangrid's 2-Year Local Rotational Program provides recent graduates with exposure, experience, and engagement across the organization through three rotational assignments completed over approximately two years. Participants complete rotational experiences every 6 to 9 months, contribute to projects that support safe and reliable energy services, and build technical, business, and leadership capabilities. The program includes mentorship, networking, professional development, and cross functional collaboration. Opportunities are aligned to business needs and designed to prepare participants for long term careers within Avangrid.

Positions may be located in Connecticut, New York, Maine, or other participating Avangrid locations based on business needs. A one-time relocation benefit may be available for eligible candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in rotational assignments across engineering, operations, planning, infrastructure, and project teams.

  • Apply engineering principles to support system reliability, operational performance, and infrastructure investments.

  • Support planning, design, construction, maintenance, or asset management activities.

  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to address operational and project requirements.

  • Analyze technical information to support engineering and business decisions.

  • Contribute to safety, regulatory, environmental, and compliance objectives.

  • Assist with capital project execution and operational improvement initiatives.

  • Engage in technical training, leadership development, and mentoring opportunities.

  • Participate in cohort networking and peer learning activities.

  • Build knowledge of utility operations through exposure to multiple business functions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.

  • Ability to work from assigned Avangrid locations participating in the rotational program.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze information and solve engineering related problems.

  • Ability to work effectively within team environments and learn business processes.

  • Communication skills to support collaboration across departments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • GPA of 3.2 or higher.

  • Engineering internship or co-op experience.

  • Coursework or concentration related to power systems, energy systems, infrastructure, asset management, or utility operations.
