Position Summary
This position reports to VP, Strategy and Analytics and is responsible for data analysis and development of quantitative insights to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and improve efficiency of marketing tactics and campaigns across multitude of channels and tactics. This includes statistical analysis of various data sources to support marketing projects, tests, pilot programs, marketing KPI tracking and goal-setting, and other functional support. Responsibilities will also include dynamic data visualization, financial and success metric planning, supporting ROI analysis, resource planning and budgeting, and strategic recommendations for future business model analyses. This role will work tightly with Finance, Business Intelligence, Product, and Enterprise Data teams, collaborating and designing breakthroughs and innovative analysis strategies for the advancement of the growth agenda.
Job Responsibility
  • Own the design, development, monitoring, and maintenance of ongoing KPI metrics, reporting, visualizations, and dashboards to drive key business decisions aligned to OKRs.
  • Collect and identify information from internal and external datasets to help develop analysis relevant to our customer, acquisition, and retention goals.
  • Ability to evaluate and create hypotheses from data collected to describe trends, reasons for occurrence and help predict future outcomes.
  • Conduct customer and market research to formulate an understanding of customer needs and market trends. Combine quantitative and qualitative findings to enhance organizational decision making.
  • Research data quality and potential issues with marketing data, along with or as the data steward for various marketing metrics as needed. Partner with data quality engineers and data governance team to implement appropriate solutions as needed. Report back to data trustee on potential findings requiring escalation.
  • Support financial planning and budgeting process, translating financial goals into success metrics and planned targets.
  • Make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, based on research to drive growth, branding acquisition and retention efforts.
  • Monitor competitor marketing activities, apply consumer insights gained through audience research to inform and guide analytic insights
  • Share insights, make business recommendations, and provide feedback on current tactics related to analysis conducted incorporating best practices in data storytelling.
  • Work closely with Finance, Business Intelligence, Product, Collections, Customer Experience and Credit Risk to monitor key marketing areas of focus.
  • Develop and maintain forecasting models

Education Required
Bachelor's Degree or higher education in the fields of study of Mathematics, Statistics and Statistical Analysis, Economics, or another qualitative field. Master's degree preferred
Experience Required
2+ years' experience in quantitative analysis. Experience in lending, financial technology, banking, and/or related industries preferred.
Knowledge Required
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills; adaptability and flexibility to changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite of products (Excel expert preferred), including PowerBI.
  • Able to collaborate via various means through email, chat, and voice efficiently and effectively while managing priorities and time appropriately.
  • Able to speak to technical and non-technical team members seamlessly.
  • Knowledge of popular testing methodologies and types of analyses used in marketing measurement - test vs. control analysis, A/B, Multivariate, Break-even analysis, regression, cluster analysis, etc.
  • Working knowledge of capabilities of industry tools for dashboarding such as Tableau or other data visualization tools, experience with marketing tools such as Google Analytics, CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred) and understanding of data warehouses or cloud-based data storage like Snowflake and Sigma.
