About this opportunity

Cenovus's New Grad Program aims to attract, develop and retain exceptional new grads to build a top talent pipeline for the company. The program provides new grads with a broad understanding of Cenovus's core business through challenging work assignments, training and development, field exposure and the opportunity to develop a large network of contacts through networking and mentorship opportunities.

Our Program consists of three consecutive 12-month rotational assignments that span Cenovus's varied business areas. Upon completion of the three-year program, you will be matched to a permanent role within the organization. This role will be based on business need and relocation may be required.

Within Cenovus Supply Chain Management (SCM), you could be placed in one of the following functions, including:

  • SCM Major Projects, Well Delivery & Corporate
  • SCM Operations
  • SCM Shared Services
  • SCM Atlantic Region

Your first rotation-and your final placement upon completion of the New Grad Program-will be based in Calgary, AB. Additional rotations may be at one of our site operations such as: Foster Creek, Christina Lake, Sunrise.

What you'll do

Responsibilities may include:

  • Data analysis and visualization creation
  • System administration and maintenance
  • Supplier onboarding
  • Supplier negotiation support and supplier relationship management
  • Drafting and executing legal agreements and amendments
  • Post-contract management and support of various portfolios
  • Commercial assurance and risk mitigation analysis
  • Facilitation of business engagement with subject matter experts and liaising with internal functions

Who you are

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Available to begin work June 2027
  • Must have an undergraduate Business or Commerce or related program degree obtained by May 31, 2027 and completed within the last 2 years (2025, 2026 or 2027).
