Job description

Isidore Landscapes has been designing, installing, and maintaining landscapes in the lower mainland since 1994. In that time, weve built strong working relationships with construction and development companies, home builders and landscape architects. Our expertise and passion allows us to interpret, create, install, and maintain varied and complex landscape designs for any size of landscape project.

Landscape Technician

We are in search of skilled and experienced landscapers to keep up with our increasing amount of commercial and residential landscape installations throughout the lower mainland. We are looking for career-minded people who have a passion for the work they do. Training is provided.


Candidates at this level are expected to:

  • Be legal to work in Canada
  • Have a minimum of of 1 year experience in hardscape installation or related field
  • Be physically fit and capable of lifting 40-80 pounds regularly
  • Be able and willing to travel to work sites throughout the lower mainland (Having a valid drivers license would be an asset)
  • Be able to effectively communicate in English
  • Adhere to company safety standards and policies
  • Represent Isidore Landscapes positively to contractors & clients
  • Work as part of a team or independently on the work site

Typical tasks include:

  • Material handling and placing
  • Installing hardscape components (pavers, slabs, wall blocks)
  • Machine Operation
  • Power Tool Operation
  • Reading Architectural Drawings and Details as instructed by Supervisor
  • Photo documentation as instructed by Supervisor
  • Safety documentation as instructed by Supervisor
  • Communicating with other trades and General Contractor staff
  • Receive deliveries on site
  • Intermittent/regular use of company vehicle
  • Instructing and Supervising other workers


Typical project installations include:

  • Interlocking pavers and paving slabs
  • Segmented retaining walls
  • Drainage systems
  • Irrigation systems
  • Hardscape and softscape bulk material placing
  • Installation of shrubs and trees, green roofs, sod lawns
  • Exterior carpentry and site furnishings


Starting wage and advancement will be based on:

  • Experience and knowledge of common landscape and related exterior installations
  • Ability and experience with common landscape tools such as cut-off saw, compactor
  • Excavator, skid steer or related machine experience or certification
  • Reliability, punctuality, professionalism and work ethic
  • Willingness and ability to learn new skills
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Adherence to company safety standards and policies
  • Ability to work independently and see tasks through to completion
  • Attention to detail, quality and efficiency in completing assigned tasks
  • Willingness to be a part of a collaborative and encouraging team


Expected Start Date: Immediately

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $25.00- $32.00

Benefits:

  • Extended health and dental benefits (including life insurance and long term disability) following 3-month probation period
  • DPSP following 1 year of employment for Canadian Citizens/ PR
  • Profit sharing at the end of the year depending on companys performance
