Job description

The purpose of the National Accounts Manager is to perform day-to-day on-site management of the Division National Accounts Team to ensure departmental performance reflects customer expectations and BEK operational guidelines.

  • Manage the daily responsibilities of the National Accounts team in the performance of daily tasks and responsibilities on assigned National Accounts
  • Develop and conduct training for National Accounts team to ensue adherence to set goals and objectives
  • Monitor the performance of National Accounts to ensure optimal order activity and customer satisfaction
  • Review accounts based on Key Performance Indicators and prepare reports
  • Prepare daily out-of-stock reports
  • Monitor daily order activity to ensure performance levels are met and maintained
  • Interact with customers at the division level to strengthen relationships with existing clients
  • Manage the set up and roll out of new accounts
  • Monitor the weekly aging reports and ensure National Accounts team performs the required follow-up on these items
  • Manage the inventory process, including new item introduction, LTO product monitoring, and disposition of dead and excess inventory
  • Collaborate with the division Credit Manager to mange the Credit Memo process
  • Work closely with the Transportation and Operations Managers to resolve transportation and other operational issues
  • Work with Inventory Manager to ensure resolution of inventory and quality issues

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing preferred or equivalent sales experience
  • At least five to seven years of internal BEK sales experience; purchasing experience highly desired
  • At least one year managing a team
  • Good computer skills with the ability to use standard Microsoft Office application, including Word and Excel
  • Ability to learn and use internal BEK applications such as KBIT and KRIS
