This role requires extensive knowledge of neurosurgical terminology, anatomy, and coding guidelines.

To thrive as a Neurosurgery Coder, you need a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and neurosurgical procedures, typically supported by a background in medical coding and a relevant certification such as CPC or CCS.
