Neurosurgeon - Birmingham, Alabama
HealthYes is conducting a confidential search for a high-profile Neurosurgery opportunity with a well-established hospital system in the Birmingham, Alabama area. This is a major service-line role offering immediate volume, strong institutional backing, and the opportunity to practice at a high clinical level within one of Alabama's most active healthcare markets.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Neurosurgeon will provide comprehensive neurosurgical care in a hospital-based setting, including evaluation, diagnosis, surgical intervention, and longitudinal management of complex neurological and spinal conditions. The role offers broad clinical scope, strong referral flow, and the opportunity to contribute to the growth and advancement of neurosurgical services in the region.
This is a high-visibility, clinically autonomous position supported by experienced hospital leadership, multidisciplinary teams, and established operational infrastructure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Evaluate and manage a wide range of neurosurgical conditions, including cranial, spinal, and neurotrauma cases
  • Perform neurosurgical procedures consistent with training and scope of practice
  • Provide inpatient and consultative neurosurgical coverage
  • Collaborate closely with Emergency Medicine, Trauma, Orthopedics, Neurology, and ICU teams
  • Participate in the continued development and expansion of neurosurgical services
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Adhere to quality standards, patient safety protocols, and hospital guidelines
PRACTICE & SUPPORT
  • Hospital-based neurosurgery program with strong case volume
  • Established referral network across a large metro area
  • Full operating room, clinical, and administrative support
