Your Contribution

As a Manufacturing Digitialization Lead you will,

  • Dedicated first point of contact for manufacturing digitalization.
  • Manage end-to-end complex projects to deliver business outcomes, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to a high level of internal client satisfaction.
  • Establish and manage an appropriate project governance structure and manage all stakeholders and team members in the successful delivery of the project, including guidance, managing their tasks, project workload, and deadlines.
  • Support transformative cross-functional project implementations.
  • Advise and support the plants in the digitalization of their processes in the areas of Internet of Things (IoT) and Industry 4.0 (I4.0)
  • Provide benefit calculations for projects in IoT and Industry 4.0 area (including ROI, KPI selection and improvements, etc.).
  • Working aligned with the Head of MPS Industry 4.0, PLC Solution Designer and local MPS Experts
  • Collaborate with all business units in support of the digitalization goals.
  • Drive Strategy development and ongoing communication regarding the use of I4.0 & Industrial IoT technologies within MAHLE.
  • Support a virtual team consisting of digitalization specialists with the goal of building transparency, information exchange and business case management in close collaboration with IT.
  • Creating and supporting ideas and innovations in IoT beneficials for business
  • Create trustful relationship with Regional and Global support functions (all levels).

Your Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent degree; Master's degree in Engineering our equivalent preferred
  • 5 years manufacturing experience within the automotive or mechatronic industries
  • Experience with different manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, machining, forming, assembling)
  • Past experience with Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) strongly preferred.
  • High competence with machine PLC systems (e.g., SIEMENS, KUKA, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradly)
  • High competence in machine protocols (OPC-UA, MQTT, Profibus/-net to connect machines to data servers, etc.)
  • Demonstrated practical understanding of software-based languages (SAP UI5, html5, etc.)
  • Experience in PLC machine data interface, used by Remote Service, MES, Traceability, Quality, Logistics
