Registered Nurse - Neuro Stepdown

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 12x3 schedule. Weekends are required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a Neuro Stepdown unit. This role requires neuro stepdown experience and proficiency in utilizing EPIC electronic health records. Candidates with strong med/surg backgrounds who possess NIHSS and ACLS certifications, along with some stepdown experience, may also be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a Neuro Stepdown unit.
  • Utilize EPIC for patient documentation and record-keeping.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions and report any significant changes.
  • Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge instructions.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a specialty setting.
  • Current RN license in good standing.
  • NIHSS certification required.
  • ACLS certification required.
  • Experience in Neuro Stepdown or strong med/surg experience preferred.
  • Skills checklist and references must be provided with application.
