St. John Neumann Catholic School in Southwest Miami-Dade, Florida is seeking a full-time qualified Athletic Director /Physical Education Teacher for the 2026-27 academic school year. This teacher will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional physical education program for PK3 through 8th grade, as well as serve in the capacity of Athletic Director duties (scheduling, documentation, and coordination of coaching). The PE Education Teacher/Athletic Director performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami and St. John Neumann School. Salary will vary based on certification and years of service.
Qualifications:
  • BS / BA Degree in Physical Education or Sports Administration preferred.
  • Florida Department of Education Physical Education K-12 certificate, temporary or professional required.
  • Excellent classroom management and program organizational skills, excellent attendance ethics, and high level of professionalism.
  • Demonstrated ability with technology skills needed for digital grade books and digital lessons.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite applications including Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Google Forms is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
  • Good spelling and grammar are required.
  • Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in a Roman Catholic environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic tenets of the Catholic Church.
  • Must have a professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code.
