Purpose of the Job

The Carrier Sourcing Manager is responsible for creating and developing partnerships with key carriers inside the WorldWide Logistics network.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Source and onboard reliable/trustworthy carrier partners to fulfill WorldWide Logistics customers’ needs
  • Negotiate rates and capacity for specific projects with their carrier network
  • Manage key KPI metrics with their assigned carriers
  • Collaborate with other Operations and Sales teams to ensure sufficient network capacity
  • Identify Value-Add opportunities with closest carrier partners
  • Introduce and educate select carrier partners to the WorldWide Load Board and maximize usage
  • Identify potential carrier partners for drop trailer networks across the domestic U.S.
  • Proactively prepare Worldwide Logistics carrier network and capacity for seasonal demand

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in logistics brokerage, carrier sales, and B2B sales
  • Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Being a “go getter” and having the ability to identify and overcome sales objections
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environment while hitting project deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills for “outside the box” solutions
  • Knowledge and desire to learn more on the U.S. Freight market

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business or related field preferred
