Job Summary:
J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is a leading transportation and logistics company, and they are seeking a Sr. Network Engineer. The role involves designing and managing network installations, providing advanced support to junior engineers, and executing complex engineering tasks to enhance network capabilities.
Responsibilities:
• Designs and manages the installation and maintenance of Core, Wide Area, and Cloud Networks.
• Provides advanced level support for troubleshooting layer 1-7 issues to more junior Network Engineers in resolving complex network events.
• Executes complex network engineering tasks such as providing direction in selection of network vendors and products.
• Research new technologies to expand current network capabilities.
• Continue to develop and apply expertise in a chosen primary field of network engineering while maintaining knowledge in network engineering as a discipline.
• Assists in developments of overall network designs to meet business requirements while maintaining current industry trends.
• Implement new network technologies that result in improved performance and lower overall cost of ownership.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer and information science, Engineering, or related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience and training; plus 7 years of experience in Network Engineering.
• Demonstrated skill implementing network automation using Ansible, Terraform, Python, Shell, or others.
• Knowledge of automation, monitoring, and configuration management hardware and software systems.

• Network Certification preferred
• Certified Network Associate (CCNA) - Cisco Systems, Inc.
• Certified Network Professional (CCNP) - Cisco Systems, Inc.
• N+ (Network+) Certification - Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA)
