The Opportunity

Ensures the overall integrity, performance, and security of the company's network infrastructure and external services, maintaining reliable LAN, SD-WAN, cloud, and internet connectivity while protecting the organizational assets from cyber threats.

The Role

  • Monitor, support, and maintain network and security infrastructure while diagnosing and resolving network, connectivity, security, and service outage issues to ensure system integrity, availability and performance;
  • Manage external services (i.e. external web traffic, emails/servers published to internet, LAN/SD-WAN/VPN connectivity, vendor connections) conducting server deployment activities;
  • Administer endpoint protection, firewalls, VPNs, and network security controls;
  • Assist in management of the company’s data centres and branch locations including hardware deployment, cabling, WI-FI set-up, conference rooms and facility security connectivity;
  • Administer, and continuously improve the network, server, storage and cloud infrastructure, including externally contracted SaaS/PaaS/IaaS services;
  • Support enterprise security services such as patching, endpoint protection, password rotations;
  • Provides security management to the company network, including maintenance of the company’s firewall, Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Wi-Fi networks;
  • Develop and maintain business continuity plans (BCPs) and disaster recovery plans (DRPs) to ensure and maintain system integrity and availability;
  • Work with the IT Director to develop and implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, and runbooks to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational data and information systems.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide 24/7 operational support coverage

The Candidate

Education: College diploma or University degree in computer science or a related field; Professional certification such as CompTIA Security+, Azure/Windows Server/M365.

Work Experience: 3-6 years

Knowledge:  Strong working knowledge in networking, routing, firewall technologies, data centres,  email infrastructure and other key Microsoft applications.  Wireless Security and VPN experience. Demonstrated focus on Network security and prevention.  Good understanding of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and other cloud services. Experience with wireless security and VPN network and security devices e.g. Fortinet, Aruba SD-WAN.

ompensation:

Base pay $80,000.00-90,000.00 per annum plus quarterly Bonus Plan. Pay may vary based on skills, expertise, and performance, and is a component of the total rewards package.
