Job description

Summary

We are looking for a Network Test Engineer, who will be testing high-speed optical transceivers and work cross departmentally to debug and troubleshoot to figure out root causes

Job Duties

  • Performing interoperability tests on high-speed optical transceivers (400g to 1.6Tbps)
  • Install and maintain high-density network switches from various manufacturers
  • Set up and conduct optical transceiver communication link tests using network switches
  • Debug and troubleshoot link failure and work with cross-functional teams to figure out root causes
  • Support production line for optical transceiver traffic test on network switch
  • Generate reports for various optical transceiver interoperability test

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or optical engineering with 3+ years of experience or Master's degree with 1+ year of experience
  • Must be bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin)
  • Familiarity with Linux, Python and LabVIEW are preferred
  • 3 years of experience working in an engineering laboratory environment
  • Experience with high-speed optical transceiver application in data center
  • Experience with high-density network switch installation and operation
  • Experience with optical transceiver communication link test
  • Experience with automatic test system

Location

This position will be on-site based in Sugar Land, Texas.
