Job description

Purpose andImpact:Amentum/Secure Networking Solutions is seeking asenior Network/Systems Engineerresponsible formaintainingthe design and integrity of program systems. The candidate will oversee the program's Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS). The candidate will build scripts, provide expert technicalassistanceto team members,andbuild and patch servers (Linux and Windows).The candidateshould have excellent networking skills, including an understanding of IP Schema, scripting, hardware, and other aspects of buildingandmaintainingnetworks and systems.

Work Schedule:Monday - Friday,8 am-5 pm.

EssentialResponsibilities:

  • Design and deploy functional servers on Linux and Windows operating systems.

  • Maintain system compliance withcybersecuritystandards and practices

  • Monitor system performance and integrity.

  • Automate tasks andmonitortheir effectiveness.

  • Create, oversee, and test security measures (e.g.,access authentication and disaster recovery, etc.)

  • Communicate with users when needed.

  • Maintain complete technical documentation.

  • Suggest improvements to performance, capacity,and scalability.

  • Install systems in CONUS and potentially OCONUS locations as directed by project PM.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:OfficeSetting, but may berequiredto install sensors and cabling, requiring use of ladders andlifting upto 20 pounds.

MinimumRequirements(Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • Experience writing clear, concise, and user-friendly technical and training manuals or similar documentation to include documentsrequiredfor A&A IAW ICD 503.(Templates will be available).

  • Experience in Windows administration,Active Directoryadministration

  • Experience in administrative scripting languages.

  • Experience with integration, deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance of operating systems in a multi-domainenvironment.

  • Knowledge and experiencewithVirtual Infrastructure technologies per the applicable levelstatedin the table below.

  • Experience in all components of Windows and Linux system infrastructure per the applicable levelstatedin the table below.

  • Experience in LAN/WAN technologies, routers, switches, firewalls; experience with Storage Area Network (SAN),clusteringand backup technologies.

  • Experience andproficiencywith systems engineering concepts, principles and theories and system modeling tools per the applicable levelstatedin the table below.

  • Ability to perform Tier 3 operational maintenance on audit systems to include: system engineering, system administration, database management, backup administration, change configuration and management, policy creation, and certification and accreditation procedures (Senior level position).

  • Appropriate ND 50-05 certification for tasks assigned.

  • Ability to travel worldwide.

SecurityClearance Required: TS/SCI with Poly

Minimum Education:Bachelor'sDegree in relevantarea, such as Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or other computer or information technology-relatedfield.

Minimum Years of Experience:(Bachelors + 5-7 years); (Masters + 3-5 years); (PhD + 1-2 years)

Compensation Details:

$215,000 - $230,000
