Taylor Sudden Service provides exclusive worldwide distribution of genuine Taylor OEM parts and forklift service for equipment designed, manufactured, and marketed by Taylor Machine Works, Inc. Backed by a network of parts and service centers, nationwide dealer support organizations, and factory-trained service technicians, SSI is committed to providing the best parts and service support in the industry. We offer training schools for our service technicians on a regular basis, ensuring the best possible service to Taylor Machine Worksโ€™ customers. Sudden Service, INC (SSI) is a subsidiary of the Taylor Group of Companies, a third-generation family-owned business based in Louisville, MS since 1927.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Keep equipment clean, fueled, and ready to be rented or sold to TCE customers.
  • Keep equipment exercised weekly to make sure they operate and start on demand.
  • Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections and receive reports on when equipment is delivered from the manufacturers.
  • Inspect and complete reports when equipment comes back from rental.
  • Assists mechanics in installation of attachment and machine tools.
  • Delivery of equipment locally, provide operation instructions upon delivery.
  • Participate and learn from mechanics how to perform preventive maintenance and simple fixes.
  • Become an operational expert to help with demo equipment and new customer hand-offs.
  • Other duties assigned by management.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Valid driver's license and good driving record to be insurable by corporate insurance carrier.
  • Must meet physical demands of job which includes stooping, bending, climbing, twisting, and capability of lifting up to 50 lbs or occasionally 60 lbs.

Education and Experience:

  • High School graduate or GED.
  • Must have natural mechanical abilities. Mechanical work experience or training preferable.
