OVERVIEWÂ
The Manager of Warehouse Technical Support is responsible for leading and developing a team of Warehouse Support Associates who provide technical support for all technology used in warehouse operations. This role ensures the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of warehouse systems, devices, and automation that enable daily production, inventory movement, picking, packing, shipping, and receiving activities.Â
The Manager serves as the primary point of accountability for warehouse technology support, partnering closely with Operations, IT, Engineering, and third-party vendors to maintain a stable, efficient, and technology-enabled warehouse environment.Â
RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
Team Leadership & ManagementÂ
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of Warehouse Support Associates, including hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and schedulingÂ
- Establish clear expectations, workflows, and service-level standards for warehouse technical supportÂ
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementÂ
- Ensure appropriate coverage for on-site and remote support across shifts, weekends, and peak periodsÂ
Warehouse Technology Support OversightÂ
- Oversee day-to-day technical support for warehouse devices, systems, and infrastructure, including:Â
- Handheld scanners, tablets, workstations, printers, and mobile devicesÂ
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related applicationsÂ
- Conveyors, sortation systems, and warehouse automation toolsÂ
- Network connectivity and basic hardware/software troubleshootingÂ
- Ensure rapid triage, escalation, and resolution of issues that could impact production or safetyÂ
- Monitor system health, recurring issues, and root causes to prevent downtimeÂ
Operations & Cross-Functional PartnershipÂ
- Partner with Warehouse Operations leadership to align technology support with operational priorities and peak demandsÂ
- Collaborate with Corporate IT, Engineering, and vendors on system upgrades, rollouts, maintenance, and issue resolutionÂ
- Act as the warehouse point of contact for technology incidents, planned changes, and improvement initiativesÂ
QUALIFICATIONSÂ
RequiredÂ
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations support, IT support, or technical operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory roleÂ
- Hands-on experience supporting warehouse technology, automation, or distribution center systemsÂ
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and basic networkingÂ
- Proven ability to manage and develop hourly or technical support teams in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Experience with equipment and asset trackingÂ
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skillsÂ
PreferredÂ
- Experience in retail, e-commerce, or high-volume distribution environmentsÂ
- Familiarity with WMS platforms, RF systems, conveyor systems, and warehouse automationÂ
- Experience with ticketing systems, incident management, and performance metricsÂ
- Project management experience supporting system implementations or upgradesÂ
- Experience with MDM toolsÂ
- Experience with managing multiple warehousesÂ
The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company's total rewards package for exempt employees.
