Position: Senior Network Engineer
Salary: $130,000-$155,000 + Bonus

Job Overview: The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the design, strategy, performance, security, and reliability of the global network infrastructure. This role serves as the technical lead for enterprise networking across manufacturing and corporate locations worldwide, ensuring secure, scalable, and highly available connectivity that supports business operations. You'll partner closely with IT, cybersecurity, operational technology (OT), and business leaders while providing technical leadership and mentorship to the network & service desk team.

Responsibilities of the Senior Network Engineer:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of the global network infrastructure.
  • Develop and execute network strategies aligned with business, security, and operational goals.
  • Own network architecture, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless networking, firewalls, cloud connectivity, and OT/IT segmentation.
  • Ensure network availability, performance, and reliability across global manufacturing and corporate locations.
  • Monitor and improve network performance through KPIs, service metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with cybersecurity teams to maintain a strong network security posture, including segmentation, firewall management, and secure access solutions.
  • Serve as the highest level of technical escalation for network-related issues and complex troubleshooting.
  • Manage network modernization projects, technology upgrades, and infrastructure lifecycle planning.
  • Work with vendors, MSP service providers, and internal stakeholders to evaluate, implement, and support networking solutions.
  • Drive standardization, automation, and documentation efforts.
  • Mentor and support network administrators & service desk members through technical guidance and best practices.
Preferred Experience of the Senior Network Engineer:
  • Strong knowledge of routing, switching, firewall management, access points, LAN management, wireless networking, SD-WAN protocols, and hybrid cloud connectivity
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust networking principles and OT network environments
  • Experience developing network architecture, technical standards, and long-term infrastructure roadmaps
  • Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and root cause analysis skills
  • Experience supporting complex, multi-site, 24/7 business or manufacturing environments
  • Experience leading network projects from design through implementation
  • Self-starter who takes initiative, asks thoughtful questions, and adapts quickly

Bonus Experience of the Senior Network Engineer:

  • Experience with Cisco Meraki, Juniper, Ubiquiti, FortiNet, VMware, Hyper-V
  • Cloud Experience (within Azure or similar)
  • Experience with network automation, monitoring or observability tools
  • Experience with vendor management of ISPs and MSPs
  • Certifications in Cisco, Meraki, FortiNet, Ubiquiti, Microsoft
