OVERVIEW

As a Cloud Network Engineer, you will be responsible for engineering, automating, and supporting enterprise cloud networking solutions across Azure, AWS, and GCP. This role combines deep networking expertise with hands-on software development and Infrastructure as Code capabilities to enable secure, scalable, and repeatable cloud network deployments.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience designing cloud and hybrid network architectures, implementing automation usingTerraform, Python, and Ansible, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver resilient networking platforms that support the organization's cloud transformation strategy.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Design, deploy, and support scalable, highly available, and secure network architectures across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments.

  • Develop, automate, and manage cloud network infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such asTerraform,ensuring consistency, scalability, and compliance across environments.

  • Build and maintain automation solutions usingPythonandAnsibleto streamline network provisioning, configuration management, operational tasks, and lifecycle management.

  • Implement and manage multi-cloud and hybrid connectivity solutions to ensure seamless integration and communication between cloud platforms and on-premises data centers.

  • Configure and manage cloud networking components, including VPCs/VNETs, subnets, routing, load balancers, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Transit Gateway, and cloud-native networking services.

  • Develop reusable Terraform modules, automation frameworks, and CI/CD integration patterns to enable self-service and standardized cloud network deployments.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance, reliability, and security across cloud and hybrid environments.

  • Conduct network performance testing and root-cause analysis to proactively identify and resolve infrastructure and connectivity issues.

  • Implement network security controls and best practices while ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with cloud architects, platform engineers, developers, DevOps teams, and security stakeholders to deliver integrated cloud networking solutions.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud networking, automation, Infrastructure as Code, and operational best practices.

  • Document network architectures, automation workflows, deployment standards, and operational procedures to maintain accurate and current records.

  • Continuously evaluate emerging cloud networking technologies, automation tools, and industry best practices to improve operational efficiency and platform maturity.

  • Participate in capacity planning, resiliency design, and scaling initiatives to support growing cloud adoption and business demand.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • 7+ years of hands-on experiencedesigning, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and GCP cloud environments.

  • 5+ years of hands-on cloud networking experiencewith deep expertise in cloud-native networking services, including AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Network, GCP VPC, load balancers, firewalls, DNS, routing, and network security controls.

  • 3+ years of hands-on development and automation experience using Terraform, Python, and Ansible, including infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, workflow automation, and CI/CD integration.

  • Demonstrated experience developing andmaintainingreusable Terraform modules, automation frameworks, and Infrastructure as Code(IaC)best practices within enterprise environments.

  • 3+ years of experience building and managing hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity solutions, including VPNs, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Cloud Interconnect, and inter-cloud networking architectures.

  • 3+ years of experience monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting cloud network performance, availability, and security.

  • Strong understanding of DevOps, Git-based source control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated infrastructure deployment practices.

  • Experience integrating Terraform, Python, and Ansible into cloud platform engineering and network automation workflows.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex infrastructure and connectivity issues.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with experience working across engineering, architecture, security, and application teams.

  • Strong understanding of cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and platform engineering concepts.

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced Infrastructure Engineering and Platform Engineering teams operating within Agile/Scrum delivery models.

  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of independently driving complex technical initiatives.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relatedEngineeringfield, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Advanced degree or specialized coursework in Cloud Computing, Network Engineering, Software Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation is considered an asset.
