Position Overview

We are seeking aย Network Engineerย withย 1โ€“3 years of experienceย to assist in designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing network systems that support reliable operations across utility and distribution environments.

The ideal candidate will have aย strong understanding of network configuration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting. This position works closely with senior network engineers and technical leadership to ensure theย security, stability, and performanceย of mission-critical communication systems.

This role may also supportย network and distribution storm response workย as part of emergency operations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain network performanceย by building configurations, managing devices and connections, and resolving network issues.

  • Design and implement network environmentsย by creating system configurations, directing installations, and defining and enforcing engineering standards.

  • Maximize network performanceย through proactive monitoring, tuning, and optimization of infrastructure components.

  • Troubleshoot network problems and outages, providing support and coordination withย Network Operationsย during upgrades and restoration events.

  • Collaborate withย network architects and senior engineersย to evaluate performance trends and recommend design improvements.

  • Secure network systemsย by developing and enforcing access control policies and procedures.

  • Document network configurations, operational status, and system performance metrics.

  • Participate inย distribution storm work and emergency restoration activitiesย when required.


Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degreeย in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
