The responsibility of the Team Leader will be to ensure that the regional front line operational team respond to incidents at level 2, in a timely and high standard manner, so aircraft can be returned to service within schedule. The incumbent will make sure the team follows the processes to monitor network performance and demonstrate a proactive, innovative and positive attitude. The overall teams responsibility will be to ensure the end\-to\-end systems are monitored, and incidents with ground, satellite and airborne equipment are managed in a timely fashion.    <\/span><\/p>


<\/p>

The role will require significant interaction with our core operations, the change management groups, AERO systems, the customer Care\/ PAX Support Desk and suppliers, to ensure the delivery of the specified in service support. This is an operational, team\-leadership role - we will be looking for candidates who have demonstrated effective leadership and initiative in an operational environment, where the priority is restoration of a connectivity service.<\/span><\/p>

  • Manage a dynamic team to ensure high performance<\/li>\n
  • Understand thoroughly processes \/ tools that team uses and evaluate continuous effectiveness<\/li>\n
  • Communicate all the information required to engage and enable the team<\/li>\n
  • Ensure all the necessary tools and arrangement are in place to enable IMG (incident management group) to perform their roles<\/li>\n
  • Own the fulfilment of service availability targets<\/li>\n
  • Be responsible for the regional IMG team to meet the SLAs towards external customers<\/li>\n
  • Identify and escalate risks that our SLA will not meet due to partners\/suppliers<\/li>\n
  • Ensure continuous improvement of operations by introducing or improving operational procedures.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure smooth flow of information in order to provide good quality communication towards our customers.<\/li>\n
  • Supplier Management<\/li>\n
  • Work closely with the Customer Care\/PAX support to ensure good quality, high standard regular communication towards the airline.<\/li>\n
  • Participating in the Change control process<\/li>\n
  • Ensure services and end\-to\-end infrastructure is functioning correctly<\/li>\n
  • Contribute to proactively improve service systems and support<\/li>\n
  • Contribute to create efficient operational and technical processes\/procedures<\/li>\n

    • BSc\/BEng in a relevant technical degree (satellite communications \/ telecommunications \/IP Networks\/) or relevant working technical experience<\/li>\n
    • Experience in a telecommunications\/satcom operational environment<\/li>\n
    • Experience in managing people, including on\-call operational level 2 support staff<\/li>\n
    • A natural facilitator of communication across organisational boundaries<\/li>\n
    • A high degree of integrity<\/li>\n
    • Understanding of Digital Communications Networks: protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, routing, etc.) and architecture (routers, switches, firewall, etc.)<\/li>\n
    • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.<\/li>\n
    • Positive and energetic attitude<\/li>\n
    • Honest, Respectful and Patient.<\/li>\n
