Job description

Overview
Abacus Technology is seeking a Network/Systems Performance Analyst Lead to provide systems and data analysis for the AFCENT Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) at Shaw AFB. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze a wide array of networking metrics and recognize substandard network performance.
  • Perform analysis for collaboration of network / system needs and participate in planning, designing, upgrading and deployment of enterprise datacenter hardware, software and services using a project-based timeline.
  • Develop reports and trend analysis documentation on bandwidth and network security incidents.
  • Make expert decisions and recommendations on how to resolve, improve, or prevent network problems/issues.
  • Engineer, implement, and sustain network monitoring and management tools and ensure tools are properly functioning and collecting network telemetry and performance metrics to support troubleshooting and analysis functions.
  • Develop and update IT systems concept of operations and engineering plans.
  • Submit daily performance reports and ensures automates performance tools are functioning correctly.
  • Manage files storage and safeguards data.
  • Coordinate all efforts closely with Modeling and Simulation and engineering (Systems, Network, Cybersecurity) to ensure adequate data collection and prevent overlaps or conflicts of effort.
  • Provide LAN/WAN support.

Qualifications
5+ years experience in network and systems analysis. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Must be Security+ certified (or hold equivalent certification in compliance with DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II). Must hold the following certifications: CCNA, SolarWinds Certified Professional, and NCA. Must hold the ITIL v5 Foundations certification or be able to obtain the certification within 60 days of hire. Experience with SolarWinds, Netscout, and UNIX/Linux. Working knowledge of network and or end user device monitoring tools/system a plus. Must be proficient in all aspects of the system life cycle and understand large-scale system development. Must be detail oriented and have strong communication skills. Must be able to provide support in a 24/7/365 environment including occasionally covering shifts outside of the assigned shift and/or providing after hours, weekend, or holiday support as needed on a rotational basis. Must be able to travel to CONUS sites to provide TDY support. Must be a US Citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
