The Role

The Manager, Optical Network Operations Center (NOC).  The team tasks included optical networking issue trouble response for break/fix and Operational Readiness, working with clients to ensure maximum availability of services.  Position daily activities include performance monitoring, load management, process adherence/improvement, problem management, staffing and performance management. 

Location and Hours
This position is a remote, work-from-home role based in the United States. The successful candidate must be able to work a schedule that primarily consists of swing and mid shifts, with flexibility to support business and operational needs as required. Availability during evening hours and non-traditional work schedules is essential for success in this role.
The Main Responsibilities
  • Administers team process and procedure
  • Develops Goals and Objectives for staff
  • Executes strategies and tactics to achieve increasing operational productivity and efficiency
  • Monitors and reports process effectiveness and key performance indicators
  • Drives consistent, high-quality oversight and trouble resolution for Managed Network DWDM support, customer support, and escalation management.
  • Implement process improvement strategies for department
  • Drive client satisfaction through rapid restoration of services
  • Ensure Successful execution of change management activities
  • Manages technical workgroup to ensure operational performance standards are met to support Company and department performance objectives
  • Executes direction, goals, and priorities within Network Operations
  • Maintains collaborative relationships with key departments in the Company to build and maintain product engineering standards 
  • Support Senior Manager to attain clean, accurate performance reporting and business planning for the department
  • Manage and monitor workload and development plans for team
What We Look For in a Candidate

Bachelors degree or equivalent education and experience.

Typically with 5-7 years related experience and 1+ year previous supervisory / leadership experience preferred. 

Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
