The Network Operations Project Manager focuses on overseeing network projects, coordinating teams, and ensuring timely delivery. In contrast, a Network Engineer is primarily responsible for designing, implementing, and troubleshooting network systems. While both roles require networking certifications and work within similar industries, their core functions differ: one manages projects, the other executes technical network tasks.
Who will you be working with?
You will work closely with a cross-functional Project Core Team that includes engineering, quality, field services, finance, procurement, and operations representatives across multiple sites and regions. This team partners with internal stakeholders such as Site Managing Directors, Function Directors, and the Group PMO, as well as external customers, contractors, and subcontractors. Together, you will ensure successful project execution in a global, multicultural railway environment.
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Brakes & Couplers Project Management group, you will be responsible for leading and driving project execution from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements. You will serve as the primary customer contact, managing relationships and expectations while coordinating internal resources.
In this role, you will lead and animate cross-functional project teams, applying structured project management processes such as risk and opportunity management, contract and claim management, and change management. You will oversee financial performance in partnership with project financial controllers, ensuring strong forecasting, margin management, and cash flow outcomes.
Additionally, you will play a key role during the bid phase, ensuring project execution strategies are clearly defined and aligned prior to project launch. You will regularly communicate project performance to leadership and ensure adherence to best practices, tools, and reporting standards.

Activities may include standing, walking project sites, observing equipment and technical details, and participating in field inspections. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required in certain environments.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between $91,100 - $129,800 USD. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands, and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for a performance bonus.
