Requirements

  • Level2 General Insurance License
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing a department or branch within the insurance industry
  • Proven knowledge in ICBC, Commercial Auto, and Personal and Commercial Lines insurance; experience in the transportation industry is an asset
  • Strong business acumen with proven ability to meet financial and operational goals
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for client service and team success
  • Highly organized, adaptable and committed to continuous learning and development
  • Ability to lead and create an inclusive and highly engaged branch
  • Ability to speak Punjabi is considered an asset for this branch, supporting service to a diverse client community


A Day in the Life

As Branch Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of branch leadership-- from business planning and performance to team development and operational execution.


Business and Financial:

  • Be accountable and drive your branch results
  • Develop and execute an annual business plan, in partnership with the AVP & VPs to achieve revenue, profitability, retention, and growth targets: new business, retention, cross-selling or adding additional products to ensure clients are properly covered for risks and client experience
  • Monitor branch financials (P&L), identifying opportunities to improve performance and manage expenses responsibly
  • Assess local market and identify current and prospective opportunities to obtain new clients
  • Ensure excellent and consistent client service experience
  • Ensure all best practices are adopted and effective for the branch
  • Ensure consistently excellent client experience by promoting best practices and operational efficiency
  • Strengthening HUB's local presence through community engagement and business networking


People and Team Development

  • Build and nurture a positive, high-performing workplace culture that attracts, develops, and retains top talent
  • Recruit, onboard, and coach team members to achieve their goals and deliver exceptional results
  • Provide ongoing feedback, support, and professional development opportunities, including cross-training, leadership growth and branch succession planning
  • Conduct regular team meetings and maintain clear, transparent communication across all levels including but not limited to one on ones, coaching, performance management, quarterly reviews and clear documentation in collaboration with our HR partners

The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
