Job description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century's most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril's family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. ABOUT THE TEAM The Maritime team at Anduril builds world-class autonomous maritime platforms - undersea and surface vehicles and systems and seabed sensors. The team is responsible for taking products like Dive-LD, Dive-XL, Copperhead, and Seabed Sentry from concept to operational systems. As part of this team, your role will involve building the Product Operations function within a larger deployment and sustainment group. We work in close coordination with specialist teams including engineering, program management, and field operations to ensure successful employment of these products and to advance the state-of-the-possible in subsea robotics. ABOUT THE ROLE As a Product Operations Manager for Maritime, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and readiness of Anduril's Maritime products. This family of intelligent, autonomous undersea systems work together to develop unmatched situational awareness, precision engagement, and scalable maritime dominance. You will be an integral piece to ensuring that Anduril meets this mission for our customers. In this role, you will support end users by building field failure discovery, mitigation, and resolution processes. You will identify failure modes that contribute to root cause analysis, and you will help deploy fixes and manage the incident lifecycle across the Maritime fleet. This position requires a strong problem-solving mindset and hands-on expertise in debugging and resolving complex electromechanical issues. If you are passionate about cutting-edge technology, advancing national security, and delivering best-in-class operational support, Anduril invites you to join the team. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Lead Product Operations: Guide and mentor a high-performing Product Operations team, setting the standard for how we triage, diagnose, and resolve technical incidents across our global Maritime fleet. * Drive Fleet Reliability: Partner directly with software and hardware engineering teams to translate real-world field telemetry and failure data into permanent system upgrades and design improvements. * Analyze System Telemetry: Oversee the collection and analysis of fleet health data using advanced data-driven tools, helping to predict and prevent failures before they happen. * Bridge the Gap: Act as the critical translator between deeply technical engineering teams, business development stakeholders, and military operators in the field. * Customer & Mission Support: Ensure exceptional technical support for our global users, managing communications around high-priority incidents and driving them to rapid resolution. * Build the Playbook: Standardize and scale our sustainment operations, creating the processes that will support Maritime as the fleet grows exponentially worldwide. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Proven Technical Leadership: 6+ years of professional experience managing, mastering, and supporting complex technical systems (maritime, aerospace, robotics, automotive, defense, or electromechanical systems). * Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field, OR equivalent hands-on military, maritime, or industrial technical experience. * Problem-Solving Mindset: A proven ability to navigate ambiguous situations and lead teams through complex, unstructured technical challenges. * Leadership & Mentorship: Experience managing, coaching, or leading technical teams, with a focus on professional development and operational excellence. * Clearance & Location: Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security clearance, and based in (or willing to relocate to) Costa Mesa, CA or Quincy, MA. * Travel: Ability to travel as needed to support customer operations and test events. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS We recognize that great leaders come from diverse backgrounds. We do not expect you to meet every single one of these criteria: * Experience supporting and/or deploying undersea munitions, vehicles, or unmanned undersea systems (UUVs) as a DoD contractor or military end-user. * Familiarity with conventional naval systems or military naval operations. * Hands-on experience with Linux command-line interfaces (CLI). * Familiarity with modern observability and ticketing tools (such as Grafana, Jira, or Git). * Experience leveraging data analytics (such as SQL or Palantir Foundry) to conduct trend analysis and drive business decisions. * Prior military, DoD civilian, or government agency experience. * A background in technical project management or operations consulting. US Salary Range $112,000 - $149,000 USD The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
