Job description

Remote Director, Network Engineering & Operations

Base Salary: $140,000-150,000/ year

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)

Targeted Bonus: 10%

Top Technical Requirements

1) Network Architecture: Proven experience architecting physical and virtual data center and office networks.

2) Strong expertise with: Fortinet. Azure. Palo Alto. Enterprise Identity. Zscaler. Wireless networking, network circuits, including DIA and broadband

3) ITSM/ITOM & Network Management: Experience with the interconnection of systems such as:

  • Halo
  • NetBox
  • FortiManager
  • FortiAnalyzer
  • FortiAuthenticator
  • FortiEMS

4) Management: At least three years of management experience with direct reports.

5) Workplace Networking: Strong experience with office/workplace networking, circuits, VLAN design, and secure access design/implementation.

6) Operations & Support: Experience designing and implementing network operations and support models.

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of network architecture, security, and operational leadership experience. Particularly valuable experience includes:

  • Fortinet certification at NSE 4 or higher.
  • Experience working with NetBox.
  • Strong knowledge of network discovery and CMDB governance.
  • Understanding of ITIL management and how network operations fit within a larger enterprise organization.
  • Experience architecting and building enterprise networks from the ground up.
  • A strong security mindset, with an understanding that the network serves as a critical gateway into the organization's environment.
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into practical, scalable solutions.
