Job description

Network Security Operation Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining systems to protect State Street's network infrastructure. This includes managing security policy, conducting security audits, and analyzing security & network traffic. Additionally, they are tasked with creating, updating, and enforcing network security policies and procedures. These responsibilities are crucial in ensuring the security and integrity of our network

What You Will Be Responsible For:

Firewall policy hygiene management (rule recertification, cleanup, etc.)

Identification and remediation of policies violating standards

Reporting of policy compliance with standards

Coordination of policy recertification

Review and approval of security change requests

Implementation of security change request

Respond to audit requests, findings and remediation

ability to work during off hours, weekends etc..

creating and updating documentation

Core Skills & Experience:

  • min 5 years' experience with NGFW security technologies - Fortinet, CheckPoint & Palo Alto
  • Experience with security policy Analyzer tools Algosec, Tufin and Firemon
  • Experience with host based security technologies
  • analytic skills for security policy and log analysis
  • experience working with end users
  • experience working on short and long term projects
  • familiar with scripting
  • Experience with security policy and process audits

Good to Have:

  • Prior experience in financial services
  • Technology certifications - such as NGFW any Vendor
  • Experience or basic understanding of SASE vendors - Netskope, Zscaler, Cato Networks, Cloudflare, etc
  • Experience of basic understanding of WAF technologies and load balancing
