Job Description:

At HPE, our team (Mist) is transforming enterprise networking through AI-driven operations and cloud-managed infrastructure.

We build and validate next-generation WAN and Wired Assurance solutions used by large enterprises and federal customers worldwide. Reliability, performance, and security are mission-critical - and this role plays a key part in delivering that standard.

This is an engineering-focused QA position with strong ownership, deep networking exposure, and meaningful influence across product development.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable Layer 2/3 network testbeds
  • Validate Wired and SD-WAN functionality, performance, and resiliency
  • Contribute to automation initiatives leveraging AI-Tools
  • Develop test strategies and partner with development teams early in the product lifecycle
  • Analyze packet captures, logs, and system behavior to isolate root causes
  • Reproduce and debug customer-reported issues
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, support, and field teams
  • Support validation for federal customer deployments
What You BringRequired Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in networking, QA, or systems validation
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Layer 2 switching
    • Layer 3 routing
    • Enterprise networking concepts
  • Experience withJuniper or comparable enterprise networking platforms
  • Familiarity with traffic generation tools and packet analysis
  • Ability to debug complex networking issues end-to-end
  • BA/BS/MS in EECS or related field
Nice to Have
  • SD-WAN experience
  • 802.1X authentication knowledge
  • Python scripting or automation experience
  • Juniper certifications (JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP)
