Job description

Sampson Regional Medical Center is searching for a Network Support candidate to join the MIS Infrastructure team! Description:The selected applicant will be responsible for upkeep of hospital information systems. The position is responsible for overall troubleshooting and installation of hospital computers, printers and integrated equipment. Assists in training for new hardware and software updates. Assists Information Systems staff with technical issues and software upgrades as needed. Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required. Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred. Enrolled in or finished an IT program at a college or university. IT certifications preferred.Knowledge of information systems. Firm understanding of TCP/IP, 802.llx, Windows desktop OS, Windows server OS, Microsoft Office Suite, backup technologies, printers, scanners and cell phones. Effective written and verbal communication and project management skills. Ability to think creatively and work well in groups. Ability to handle situations and troubleshoot issues. Ability to multi-task and handle varying issues simultaneously. Must have the ability to work independently on projects assigned by supervisor. Must be comfortable with learning new Computer Technology and new skill sets and applying them to develop new and better programs and utilities. Hours:This is a full-time, on-site position. Typically, will work 8 hours a day, 5 days per week. Other hours may be required for the effective operation of the department.
