Job Summary:
Metron is an employee-owned company dedicated to delivering innovative solutions for national security problems. They are hiring a Network Engineer to provide network and cyber security support for various projects at NSWC Crane, IN, focusing on problem determination, root cause analysis, and network performance evaluation.
Responsibilities:
• Set up, configure, test and analyze network systems and associated tactical military applications.
• Perform onsite or remote analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex networking problems, and recommend and implement testing solutions to improve performance.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software.
• Assess and compare different performance upgrades based on tactical military applications and scenarios.
• Understand cybersecurity and be able to apply cyber hardening processes and policies.
• Accurately document and maintain ATO documentation.
• Interface with third-party support and equipment vendors as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
• At least 3 years of network and/or tactical data link systems experience.
• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• Cisco router and operating system build and troubleshooting experience.
• Linux system build and troubleshooting experience.
• US Citizenship required, successful candidates will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Preferred:
• Associate's degree in network engineering, IT, computer science or related field.
• Navy Cyber Warfare Force (CWF) or Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command (MARFORCYBER) experience.
• USMC Prior Service MOS: 7236 – Tactical Air Defense Controller, 7242 – Air Support Operations Operator, 5979 – Tactical Air Operations/Air Defense Systems Technician experience.
• Experience with Marine Corps, Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S), Composite Tracking Network (CTN), Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar (G/ ATOR), and Marine Air Command and Control System (MACCS).
• CompTIA certifications (Network+, Security+, and CySA+).
• Cisco CCNA certification.
