Job description

Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day network operations, engineering, and support for US and EMEA locations, ensuring reliable and secure network services.
  • Support and maintain LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, firewall, siteโ€‘toโ€‘site connectivity, and related network security services.
  • Remain actively involved in troubleshooting, configuration, implementation, incident response, and change execution.
  • Manage network incident, problem, and change activities, including root cause analysis, remediation planning, communication, and service restoration.
  • Support enterprise network technologies including Fortinet firewalls, Cisco switching and routing, VPN connectivity, wireless infrastructure, WAN connectivity, and network security controls.
  • Partner with the APAC Network Manager and global IT teams to align network architecture, standards, operational practices, escalation processes, and project execution.
  • Develop and maintain network standards, diagrams, operational procedures, and infrastructure best practices.
  • Oversee enterprise network monitoring and management platforms such as ManageEngine, Nagios, SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, LogicMonitor, or similar tools.
  • Define monitoring standards, alerting thresholds, dashboards, escalation workflows, and reporting to strengthen operational visibility and response.
  • Analyze infrastructure trends, recurring issues, and service risks; implement corrective actions to improve availability and reduce disruption.
  • Manage, coach, and mentor a small team of network and infrastructure resources while staying engaged in technical execution and operational support.
  • Set priorities, coordinate daily work, allocate resources, and promote accountability, collaboration, and practical problem solving.
  • Partner with Infrastructure, Security, Applications, Service Desk, site leadership, vendors, and global IT teams to support enterprise technology initiatives.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in network engineering, network operations, infrastructure support, or related IT roles.
  • 2+ years of experience leading, supervising, or mentoring technical team members.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise network operations, infrastructure support, and technical service delivery in distributed environments.
  • Handsโ€‘on experience with Fortinet firewalls, Cisco switching and routing, VPN services, wireless networking, WAN connectivity, and network security controls.
  • Experience administering or improving network monitoring and management tools such as ManageEngine, Nagios, SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, LogicMonitor, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of ITILโ€‘based incident, problem, change, configuration, and service transition practices.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, vendor management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to support a global manufacturing environment with distributed sites, regional priorities, maintenance windows, and critical production dependencies.
  • Preferred experience includes Cisco, Fortinet, Network+, ITIL, or related infrastructure certifications; global network standardization; site refreshes; firewall modernization; SDโ€‘WAN; segmentation; wireless modernization; or monitoring tool integration.
