Job Summary:
MDAEdge is a top-tier Am Law 100 firm seeking an experienced Manager of Network Engineering to lead and evolve their global network infrastructure. This strategic role involves designing, implementing, and managing network services while ensuring security, scalability, and performance in hybrid cloud environments.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, deployment, and management of a resilient and high-performance global WAN. Optimize SD-WAN solutions and implement advanced routing protocols like BGP and OSPF.
• Design and maintain secure, high-throughput connectivity between on-premise infrastructure and public cloud environments (Azure/AWS). Support hybrid network strategies with robust routing and monitoring solutions.
• Develop and enforce QoS policies to support mission-critical applications. Continuously monitor network performance and troubleshoot latency, bandwidth, or connectivity issues.
• Manage and mentor a distributed team of 2–4 network engineers. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, aligning resources and initiatives with organizational goals.
• Define and execute a strategic roadmap for network infrastructure in line with business objectives. Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance network security, reliability, and scalability.
• Ensure consistent uptime, system integrity, and compliance with industry regulations. Implement proactive monitoring and disaster recovery protocols.
• Partner with IT leadership, business stakeholders, and vendors to align networking strategies with operational needs. Serve as a senior escalation point for complex issues and outages.
• Plan and deliver network-related projects on time and within budget, managing timelines, resources, and vendor relationships.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in network engineering, including 4–6 years in a leadership role.
• Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Wi-Fi optimization, global WAN/SD-WAN deployment, and network traffic prioritization (QoS).
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex, global projects.
Preferred:
• Proven leadership experience managing global networking teams within a professional services environment.
• Expertise in LAN/WAN, cloud networking, hybrid connectivity, and advanced routing protocols.
• Strong background in cloud networking, with hands-on experience in Azure and/or AWS.
• Experience with cloud migrations and associated network strategy and implementation.
• Capable of scaling a team and building a strong culture of technical excellence.
