Role Overview

We are excited to welcome a hands-on, people-centric IT Network Manager to our Pittsburgh headquarters. In this role, you’ll lead a talented team while staying deeply involved in the engineering work that keeps our enterprise networks secure, scalable, and high-performing. What You’ll Do
Lead and develop a high-performing network/IT team—providing coaching, guidance, and growth opportunities while driving a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Stay hands-on with daily operations, including the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and core infrastructure.
Design and evolve our enterprise network architecture, ensuring our LAN/WAN and cloud environments are secure, resilient, and ready for the business needs of today and tomorrow.
Own complex troubleshooting and escalations, quickly diagnosing and resolving issues to protect uptime and performance.
Drive major network and IT projects, managing scope, budgets, timelines, and communication across the organization.
Strengthen our security posture by developing and enforcing policies around firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and access control.
Build strong relationships with vendors and internal partners, helping shape requirements, negotiate SLAs, and ensure successful delivery of solutions.
Maintain clear, accessible documentation for architectures, configurations, processes, and disaster recovery plans—supporting reliability, governance, and continuity.
 
What You Bring
A strong candidate will have:
Deep, hands-on experience with enterprise LAN/WAN environments, routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and wireless systems.
Proficiency with enterprise-grade routers, switches, firewalls, WLAN controllers, and cloud networking concepts.
Solid understanding of network security practices—including VPNs, IDS/IPS, threat detection, and secure architecture principles.
Experience deploying and managing enterprise wireless networks.
Familiarity with cloud networking in AWS (VPC, Direct Connect) or Azure (VNet, ExpressRoute).
Knowledge of network monitoring, automation, and performance tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially in high-pressure or time-sensitive environments.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical topics for non-technical audiences.
Experience with ITIL practices and disciplined approaches to change, incident, and problem management.
Leadership strengths—mentorship, delegation, performance management, and team motivation.
 
Highly Preferred Certifications & Experience
To stand out even more, you may also bring:
CCNA, CCNP, Network+, or similar industry certifications
7+ years of progressive experience in networking roles
3+ years directly managing or leading an engineering team
Proven success delivering large-scale infrastructure projects
 
Education
