ABOUT OUR ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead business development efforts and drive revenue growth at Trailborn Jackson Hole. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strong client relationships, and securing group, corporate, and leisure business that supports the hotel’s occupancy and financial goals. The Sales Manager works collaboratively with operations and leadership teams to ensure exceptional service delivery while positioning the property competitively within the market.

ESSENTIAL

FUNCTIONS


Revenue Generation

  • Prospect, solicit, and secure new business for the resort including group, corporate, leisure, and event segments.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales revenue goals.
  • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive outreach and networking.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel planners, event organizers, and local businesses.
  • Conduct site tours and presentations to promote hotel facilities and services.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the sales process.

Contracting and Negotiation

  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders (BEOs) for clients.
  • Negotiate rates, terms, and concessions while maximizing hotel profitability.
  • Ensure contracts comply with company policies and revenue strategies.

Market and Business Development

  • Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to capture additional business.
  • Attend trade shows, community events, and industry networking opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor activity and local market trends.

Sales Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and implement sales action plans to meet occupancy and revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with revenue management to optimize pricing strategies.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and reporting of sales activities.

Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with operations, front office, food & beverage, and events teams to ensure successful execution of group and event business.
  • Communicate client expectations clearly to operational teams.

Administrative and Reporting Duties

  • Maintain accurate client records and activity notes in CRM or sales systems.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
  • Track booking pace, production, and lead conversion metrics.

Guest and Client Experience

  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction before, during, and after events or group stays.
  • Resolve client concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Compliance and Brand Standards

  • Follow company policies, brand standards, and sales procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and business information.

Team Collaboration

  • Participate in sales meetings, strategy sessions, and training programs.
  • Support property-wide initiatives to enhance guest experience and revenue performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of sales experience in hospitality, hotel, or related service industry.
  • Proven ability to generate new business, meet sales goals, and drive revenue growth.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, group sales, and event coordination processes.
  • Experience preparing sales proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing client accounts.
  • Proficiency with sales CRM systems, property management systems (PMS), and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, forecasting reports, and sales data to inform strategy.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with operational departments.
  • Ability to conduct site tours, attend networking events, and represent the property in the community.

PHYSICAL

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer, attending meetings, or conducting client appointments.
  • Ability to walk the property and event spaces frequently when conducting site tours or meeting with clients and operational teams.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment including computers, phones, printers, and tablets.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and move throughout meeting spaces and hotel facilities during tours or event inspections.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interaction with guests, clients, and team members.

SCHEDULE

Hospitality demands a flexible schedule that may require extended hours as the business requires coverage including seasonality– on any day at any hour, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

$75,000 + Quarterly Sales Bonus
