Job description

Job Description: Network Designs, Inc. (NDI) is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead infrastructure operations, service delivery, and modernization initiatives supporting a Federal customer. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing operational and project-based activities across infrastructure, cloud, network, security, and end-user computing environments. The Technical Project Manager serves as the primary interface between customer stakeholders, technical teams, and vendor partners to ensure successful delivery of operational services and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will provide leadership for infrastructure modernization efforts, operational improvements, service delivery management, and cross-functional technical initiatives while ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, quality, and performance objectives. This position requires a strong combination of project management expertise, infrastructure operations experience, customer engagement, and technical leadership. Requirements: U.S. Citizenship is required
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
This position requires working onsite in Washington D.C., 5 days per week
Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience managing infrastructure operations, IT service delivery, technical projects, or enterprise technology initiatives.
Experience managing projects in Federal Government environments.
Experience leading cross-functional technical teams supporting infrastructure and operational services.
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and operational priorities.
Experience supporting infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, or enterprise technology transformation initiatives.
Experience working within operational environments utilizing ITIL, Agile, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools.
Experience utilizing Jira and Confluence.
Experience with project scheduling, resource planning, and risk management.
Understanding of enterprise infrastructure technologies including:
Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
Windows and Linux server environments
Networking and telecommunications infrastructure
Identity and access management
Storage and backup technologies
Cybersecurity operations and compliance requirements
Experience creating dashboards and executive-level reporting using Power BI or similar tools.
Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting Department of Justice (DOJ) or other Federal civilian agencies.
Experience managing infrastructure operations contracts or managed services environments.
Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture initiatives.
Experience supporting cloud modernization efforts.
Lean Six Sigma certification or process improvement experience.
Experience with ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms.
Responsibilities Project and Service Delivery Management: Manage multiple infrastructure operations and technical projects supporting enterprise IT environments.
Coordinate project activities, resources, schedules, risks, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple technical teams.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer stakeholders regarding project status, operational performance, and service delivery.
Ensure projects and operational initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Monitor service performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource allocations
Infrastructure Operations Oversight: Support operational management of enterprise infrastructure environments including cloud services, servers, storage, networking, identity management, and end-user computing platforms.
Coordinate maintenance activities, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Monitor operational performance, service levels, and system availability.
Facilitate incident, problem, and change management activities.
Track operational metrics and develop executive-level reporting and dashboards.
Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with customer leadership, technical teams, vendors, and contractors to achieve project objectives.
Lead status meetings, technical reviews, governance boards, and operational planning sessions.
Communicate risks, issues, mitigation strategies, and project impacts to stakeholders.
Manage customer expectations and ensure delivery aligns with mission and business objectives.
Risk, Quality, and Process Management: Identify, assess, and manage project and operational risks.
Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
Support implementation of quality assurance and quality control processes.
Lead process improvement initiatives designed to enhance service delivery, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Support governance, compliance, and audit activities as required.
Agile and Traditional Project Management: Apply hybrid project management methodologies using Agile and traditional project management practices.
Facilitate sprint planning, backlog reviews, retrospectives, and project reviews when applicable.
Utilize project management tools to monitor progress, resource utilization, and deliverables.
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and change requests.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare project charters, project management plans, schedules, and status reports.
Develop executive briefings, dashboards, metrics reports, and operational summaries.
Maintain project documentation and operational records.
Capture lessons learned and support organizational knowledge management efforts.
