Job description

Title: Process Control Network Support Specialist
Location: Plaquemine, LA; St. Gabriel, LA; Charleston, TN; or McIntosh, AL
Salary: $85,000 - $130,000
Schedule: 9/80 or 5-8s
Relocation Available
Focus: Process Control Network Support Specialist will provide support to Olin's Louisiana Operations and Regional Operations (RGO) locations. In this role, you will also provide second level troubleshooting and non-standard maintenance of process control networks, plan and execute tasks associated with updates to process control hardware in-use across Olin, and leverage learning's from other plants and projects across the site.
Process Control Network Specialist Essential Functions:
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and non-standard maintenance of DCS/OT networks, hardware, and system/software applications to maintain plant reliability and cybersecurity.
  • Execute installation and configuration for OT hardware and software platforms during major upgrades and new builds working with plant teams and M&E IT.
  • Support patch management activities, including validation and deployment of high-risk patches.
  • Support cybersecurity program execution, including assessments, audits, remediation activities, and implementation of OT security standards.
  • Implement and support OT standards, tools, and work processes defined by the PA Technology Center and OT SMEs to ensure consistent, compliant plant execution.
  • Interface with external vendors and OEMs to support troubleshooting, system updates, and technical issue resolution.
  • Leverage and share best practices and lessons learned across sites to improve OT system reliability, maintainability, and cybersecurity posture.
Process Control Network Specialist Position Requirements:
  • Must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of relevant technical experience; OR
    • Associate's Degree*; technical discipline preferred such as computer technology and 3+ years of relevant technical experience; OR
    • Bachelor's Degree*; Engineering discipline or Computer Science preferred.
  • Experience with the design, layout, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure.
  • Experience and understanding commercial process control system; Emerson DeltaV is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of programming or scripting languages.
  • Experience in diverse areas of information technology / operational technology with a focus on application and hardware support preferred.
  • Must be willing and able to travel <25%.
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and must possess a valid US driver's license.
