Job description

Network Engineer - IN PERSON
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support and maintain our enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst switching, Palo Alto firewalls, and network monitoring and telemetry solutions. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the organization's network while providing technical support for infrastructure projects and operational issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst switches and enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Administer Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including security policies, NAT, VPNs, GlobalProtect, and threat prevention.
  • Monitor network performance using telemetry technologies such as SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog, IPFIX, and streaming telemetry.
  • Diagnose and resolve Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking issues involving VLANs, routing, switching, and wireless connectivity.
  • Maintain VPN connectivity for remote users and site-to-site connections.
  • Perform firmware upgrades, software patching, and configuration backups.
  • Monitor network health using tools such as Cisco DNA Center, SolarWinds, PRTG, Splunk, or Grafana.
  • Analyze network traffic and troubleshoot performance issues using packet capture tools such as Wireshark.
  • Document network configurations, topology diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in change management and support scheduled maintenance activities during off-hours when required.
  • Collaborate with IT, cloud, security, and application teams to ensure reliable network services.
  • Provide on-call or after-hours support as needed for critical network incidents.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification.
  • Palo Alto PCNSA or PCNSE certification.
  • Experience with Python, Ansible, or REST APIs for network automation.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking in Microsoft Azure or AWS.
  • Experience with Cisco DNA Center or similar network management platforms.
