Job Summary:
HRUCKUS is a Veteran-Owned management consulting firm specializing in Technical and Cleared Recruiting for defense agencies. They are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support network configuration and deployment activities, ensuring accuracy and consistency while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
• Execute base configurations of network devices using established runbooks and standardized templates
• Perform configuration activities within centralized network management platforms, including device onboarding, policy application, and pre-deployment validation
• Support device staging, provisioning, and deployment preparation activities
• Build and apply repeatable templates across large volumes of network equipment while maintaining consistency and accuracy
• Execute detailed configuration processes and understand downstream impacts of missed or skipped steps
• Identify and document issues encountered during the build process and escalate appropriately
• Provide clear written documentation regarding issues, observations, and recommended actions
• Identify process gaps or unclear documentation and provide feedback to improve runbooks and procedures
• Support continuous process improvement initiatives
• Work closely with quality assurance teams, operations teams, and project stakeholders to resolve issues and support delivery timelines
• Communicate build status, project updates, blockers, and completion milestones clearly and consistently
• Support a collaborative team environment focused on quality and operational excellence
Qualifications:
Required:
• 3–6 years of network engineering experience supporting deployment, staging, or infrastructure operations environments
• Hands-on experience in circuit deployments
• Hands-on experience in firewall deployments
• Hands-on experience in router and switch deployments
• Strong understanding of routing and switching
• Strong understanding of VLAN concepts and design
• Strong understanding of network circuits and connectivity
• Strong understanding of centralized network management concepts
• Experience executing detailed technical runbooks within production or deployment environments
• Strong technical documentation and troubleshooting skills
• Detail-oriented with a process-driven mindset
• Ability to work efficiently within a high-volume environment without sacrificing quality
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
