As a member of the IT Operations team, the Network Engineer participates in a team environment for the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of Cambia's network and security systems, under the direction or coaching of senior team members. This position requires the use of good technical, interpersonal and administrative skills in performing day to day work - all in service of making our members' health journeys easier.

What You Bring to Cambia:

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field. Appropriate additional experience beyond the minimum required experience may be substituted for education.

Skills and Attributes:

  • A total of 5 years relevant experience, or equivalent related college course work, in a networking environment, including, but not limited to network administration, network infrastructure planning, design, implementation and maintenance.

  • Must have experience in one or more of the following core technical areas: Network Routing and Switching design, implementation, administration using the Cisco command line; Firewall design, implementation and administration using Palo Alto Firewalls, Zscaler, Illumio, and F5.

  • Experience with NetBrain.

  • Experience with automation tools.

  • Should have knowledge in one or more of the following technical areas: Wide Area Networking using Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM); Wide Area Networking using Multi Point Label Switching (MPLS); Domain Name Service (DNS) / Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP) administration; Intrusion Detection System / Intrusion Prevention System (IDS /IPS) administration; Hardware based Server Load Balancing administration; Proxy services administration

  • Ability to work with telephone carriers to perform troubleshooting and installation functions for T1, DS3, MPLS, Internet, and other services.

  • Must be experienced in supporting a network which includes Voice Over IP technologies.

  • Must have personal organization, problem solving and decision making skills

  • Ability to develop positive relationships and effectively communicate with internal customers, coworkers and all levels of management.

  • Ability to work effectively with other team members.

  • Ability to work with minimum direction.

  • Ability to plan and manage his/her own work.

  • Ability to take direction from others in analyzing and solving network infrastructure issues and problems.

  • Ability to analyze, diagnose and resolve network & security performance problems or outages.

  • Ability to administer, coordinate and facilitate the operation of complex network & Security systems hardware, software, and management systems.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain structured cabling system.

  • Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technologies and methodologies and apply them to technological and/or business needs.

What You Will Do at Cambia:

  • Responsible for the quality, continuous improvement, analysis, and monitoring of Cambia's integrated voice, video, and data communications infrastructure, including VoIP technologies and security systems.

  • Design, install, configure, and troubleshoot network and security systems while creating and maintaining related policies, procedures, standards, and documentation.

  • Prepare technical recommendations and proposals for solutions based on business requirements, industry trends, and standards while adhering to all corporate and RITS policies

  • Respond to and escalate customer issues, manage vendor and contractor relationships, and represent the team in cross-departmental meetings.

  • Provide trending reports and analysis of communications infrastructure to support data-driven decision-making.

  • Contribute to corporate quality initiatives by encouraging team improvements and actively seeking ways to maximize efficiency.

  • Provide input for performance evaluations and mentor Network Engineer I and II personnel as needed.

  • Quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies while adhering to technical standards, architecture requirements, and regular status reporting.


Work Environment

  • Duties are performed primarily in an office environment; at a desk in a call center environment.

  • Will require occasional travel for network and security installations, meetings, and conferences.

  • Will be required to be on-call 7 days a week, 24 hours a day on a departmental rotational basis.

Pay ranges vary based on the candidate's work location. The expected hiring range depends on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; and performance history.

  • Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Idaho:The expected hiring range is $95,000 - $119,000, the full salary range is $95,000 - $155,000, and the bonus target is15%.

  • North Dakota:The expected hiring range is $90K - $119k, and the full salary rage is $90K - $149K.
