What does a network engineer with no experience do?

A network engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining computer networks within an organization. If you have no prior experience, you can start by learning basic networking concepts, obtaining entry-level certifications like CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA, and practicing with home labs or simulation tools. Many entry-level positions or internships are available where you can gain practical experience while working under the supervision of senior engineers. Networking with professionals in the field and staying updated with the latest technology trends can also help you break into this career.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a network engineer with no experience?

To thrive as a Network Engineer with no experience, foundational knowledge of networking concepts, protocols (like TCP/IP), and basic troubleshooting is essential, often supported by a relevant degree or coursework.
