Job description

Network Engineer (Network Routing, Switching, Security and Proxy) (Houston, TX)

We are looking for a Network Engineer for a large, global B2B high-tech company. You will work with various network engineering, architecture, design, and implementation teams in this role. 

This is a 40-hour-per-week, 7-month contract (possibility of extensions). This is an on-site role in Houston, TX.

This is a W2 employee of Stage 4 Solutions. Health benefits and 401K offered.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans security systems by evaluating network and security technologies; developing requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices; designs public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software; adhering to industry standards.

Requirement:

  • 15+ years of experience in Network Engineering.
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with networking technologies, concepts, and Protocols. Including but not limited to TCP/IP, routing, switching, IPAM, DNS, DDNS, DHCP, F5 GTM / LTM, SSH, VPN, Internet Proxy, IPS, IDS, IP routing protocols including RIP, BGP, OSPF, IP Multicast, MPLS.
  • Experience with Routing, Quality of Service, Netflow, Wireless 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, virtual networks, NAT, ACL controls, Web Security/URL Filtering, IPSec, Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), Malware Prevention.
  • IPv4 and IPv6 experience is a must.
  • Knowledge, skills and experience with HP and Aruba routing, switching, and wireless hardware, software and protocols, including Aruba Mobility Controllers, Aruba Instant Aps, Aruba Airwave, Aruba Central, Aruba Activate, Security, and Aruba ClearPass.
  • Experience with SDN, SD-WAN products and services, Working knowledge of structured cabling systems and network facilities.
  • Experience in firewall design, configuration and network security, including: Device Hardening, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Firewalls, and IPSec, vulnerability assessment and intrusion detection.
  • Strong WAN experience managing global network infrastructure.
