As the Sr. Cloud Network Engineer, you’ll help drive Concora Credit’s Mission to enable customers to Do More with Credit – every single day.

We are in search of a seasoned Senior Cloud Network Engineer.  Our ideal candidate boasts at least 5 years of hands-on experience, demonstrating expertise in cloud technologies, network architecture, protocols, and standards. The selected candidate will be adept at cloud migration strategies and possess an in-depth understanding and administration capability of cloud-based infrastructure. This specifically emphasizes automation to enhance deployment, scaling, and maintenance processes. In addition to cloud expertise, a comprehensive knowledge of current network infrastructure is a key requirement for this role. The role necessitates outstanding communication skills, essential for effectively presenting to leadership and fostering collaboration across diverse, cross-functional teams.

As our Sr. Cloud Network Engineer, you will:

  1. Cloud Automation and Support:
    • Design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions focusing on automation.
    • Provide ongoing support for cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cloud strategies. 
  2. Infrastructure Support and Design: 
    • Manage and support enterprise-level network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and related components.
    • Design and implement scalable and resilient network solutions to meet business requirements.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime. 
  3. Leadership Communication:
    • Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and leadership.
    • Prepare and deliver presentations, status reports, and project updates to senior management. 
  4. Cloud Migrations:
    • Lead and participate in cloud migration projects, ensuring a smooth transition of applications and services.
    • Collaborate with teams to assess current infrastructure and develop migration plans. 
  5. Network Architecture and Protocols:
    • Define and maintain network architecture standards and best practices.
    • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in networking protocols and technologies.
    • Design, implement, and manage secure and scalable network solutions. 
  6. Security and Compliance: 
    • Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard network infrastructure and data.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security policies. 
  7. Collaboration and Team Leadership:
    • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance and support.
    • Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives. 
  8. Troubleshoot and Support:
    • Identify and manage risks, address issues and obstacles to ensure progress and adherence to planned changes and initiatives, and promptly escalate issues to leaders.
    • Participate in an On-Call escalation support rotation. 
  9. Document and Report:
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
    • Generate regular reports on network performance, utilization, and security metrics.
    • Build diagrams, identify network gaps or roadblocks, and come up with faster solutions, which, in turn, saves time and money.   
  10. Capacity plan and foresee Scalability:
    • Collaborate with lead engineers, architects, and project managers and brainstorm ideas and drive positive changes in the IT environment.
    • Oversee the upgrading or deployment of new network equipment and connections. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 5 years' experience as as a hybrid Senior Network Engineer with experience with cloud and on-premises solutions. 
  • Azure certification such as AZ-104, AZ-303, AZ-500, AZ-700 are desirable.   
  • Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE are desirable. 
  • Proficiency with Cisco IOS and IOS-XE multilayer Switches and Routers, Nexus 9000 switches, Firepower Firewalls, ISE, IPSEC, and AnyConnect VPN and Wireless Networking. 
  • Experience working with LTM F5 load balancers, Azure Load Balancers, Azure Front Doors.
  • Experience with MPLS networks and SD-WAN solutions. 
  • Experience supporting Azure Cloud infrastructure specifically Virtual Network (VNet), Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Virtual network NAT Gateway, Azure DNS, Peering service, Azure Virtual Network Manager, Route Server, and Azure Bastion. 
  • Experience using configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef 
  • Proficiency in IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates. 
  • Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.  
  • Knowledge of PCI or similar security posture and audit procedures
