Job description

Vibrint transforms national security missions through advanced technology, data, and responsible intelligence solutions. By joining this particular High Performance Computing (HPC) prime contract, you'll help maintain and advance the computing infrastructure that powers unprecedented mission-critical analysis, scientific discovery, and scalable national security outcomes.


As a Network Engineer I on this program, you will help deliver enhanced HPC capabilities across multi-vendor HPC servers, HPC clusters, and specialized processing environments. You'll have the opportunity to grow your technical expertise alongside highly skilled engineers, collaborate with exceptional teammates, and directly contribute to missions that strengthen our nation's security. You'll also end your day knowing that you're doing work that truly matters.

Position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.

Required Skills:

  • Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, filter and access control, Ciscoworks, TACACS+, ASA, FWSM, HP Openview, Cisco routers, Cisco Switches, F5/Cisco load balancers, Infiniband, Juniper, FiberChannel (FC) SAN, and VPN (IPSEC)

  • Physical installation and configuration and troubleshooting of network routers, switches, load balancers and security devices.

  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack and routing and switching protocols.

  • Strong working knowledge of L2/L3 protocols.

  • Strong working knowledge of stateful firewalls, and L3 access controls.

  • Working knowledge of Atlassian Tool Suite.

  • Able to support on-call requirements.

  • Able to work in live call environment and utilize remedy and/or other ticketing system to track tasking.

  • Virtualization products; VMWare and Solaris containers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
  • Minimum three (3) years of demonstratable experience in network engineering (LAN), architecture, monitoring, security, and protection or five (5) years minimum experience in lieu of degree.
  • DoD 8570 IAT II level certification.

Must have datacenter network design and architecture experience to include installation and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC virtual private networks.
