Job Description
Responsibilities include:
  • Analyze and administers of the Army-Wide Network Enterprise, providing services to over a million users throughout the world for both Unclassified and Classified networks.
  • Interface with Remote Network Enterprise Centers (RNEC) and Defense Information Systems Agencies (DISA) throughout the country and provide technical assistance.
  • Determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing systems, using Secure CRT and Appgate SDP.
  • Analyze workload, including traffic and utilization using Wireshark. Oversee or provide technical assistance during Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI).
  • Monitor network performance using Spectrum and NDFC.
  • Provide advance troubleshooting to identify and solve network problems to critical real-world scenarios.
  • Maintain professionalism during high stress situations.
  • Brief government officials, military personnel, vendors and/or VIPs on current and future Enterprise status.
  • Protect networks from unauthorized access and cyber threats by implementing and maintaining security measures using GAM.
  • Review and verify network documentation on DCABs, RFC, FCW. Train personnel on capabilities and troubleshooting on WAN Enterprise.
  • Provide research and development on future technology to improve network capabilities.

Education and Background
Bachelors in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering OR one of the following certifications prior to start date:  CEH, Cloud+, GCIH, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, SSCP

  • Install, configure, and maintain network protocols to routers, switches, and firewalls on Cisco and Juniper devices.
  • Must be familiar with protocols to include ACL, BGP, IPv6, NTP, SNMP, Spanning Tree, VPN, VRF. Identify and resolve network connectivity and performance issues.
  • Determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing systems, using Secure CRT and Appgate SDP.
  • Update network designs and topology using Visio.
  • Analyze workload, including traffic and utilization using Wireshark. Oversee or provide technical assistance during Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI).
