Opportunity Overview

We are hiring multiple full time Network Deployment Technicians to support a rapidly expanding regional network deployment program throughout the Southeast.

Our company serves as the sole professional services integrator for a major networking OEM that has transitioned its Southeast professional services business to our organization. As a result of this expansion, we are building a dedicated Atlanta based field team to support ongoing network infrastructure deployments across Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, and Florida.

This is not a short term project or occasional dispatch role. We are looking for technicians interested in consistent, full time work, ongoing technical development, and the opportunity to grow with a dedicated regional deployment team.

Scope of Work

Technicians will perform onsite network infrastructure deployments for commercial customer environments throughout the Southeast.

Typical responsibilities will include:

• Installation and replacement of network switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and related network equipment

• Network rack and stack work, including mounting, patching, labeling, cable management, and equipment installation

• Connecting to network equipment through console connections and assisting with equipment turn up and deployment activities

• Installation, replacement, and relocation of wireless access points

• Installation and termination of low voltage structured cabling

• Copper data cabling, including Cat6 and Cat6A

• Cable routing, dressing, labeling, testing, and documentation

• Installation and organization of patch panels, racks, cabinets, and network infrastructure

• Removal and replacement of existing network equipment

• Basic troubleshooting of network connectivity, cabling, power, and physical infrastructure issues

• Following deployment documentation, network diagrams, port assignments, installation standards, and customer site requirements

• Capturing installation photos, equipment information, serial numbers, cable test results, and other required closeout documentation

• Coordinating with remote network engineers and project management teams during deployments

Required Technical Skills

Candidates should have hands on field experience with several of the following:

• Network switch installation and replacement

• Firewall installation and replacement

• Network rack and stack

• Console connections and basic command line familiarity

• Wireless access point installation

• Cat6 and Cat6A structured cabling

• RJ45 termination

• Patch panel termination

• Cable testing and certification

• Cable management and labeling

• Network rack and cabinet installation

• Basic network troubleshooting

Travel Requirements

This position is based in Atlanta, Georgia and requires regular travel throughout the Southeast.

Primary service territory includes:

• Georgia

• North Carolina

• South Carolina

• Tennessee

• Alabama

• Florida

Travel may include both single day deployments and multi day projects depending on customer requirements.

The company will cover approved travel accommodations associated with project assignments.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be comfortable traveling regularly.

Minimum Requirements

• Based in or reasonably accessible to the Atlanta, Georgia market

• Willing and able to travel throughout the Southeast

• Previous hands on networking or low voltage experience

• Experience with network rack and stack

• Experience installing switches and wireless access points

• Comfortable using a console connection
