Overview
Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cost Analyst, supporting TOS II, at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) at Arnold Air Force Base in Tullahoma, TN. The Senior Cost Analyst will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for analyzing costs and working with various departments and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and efficiency of cost reporting and budgeting for the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Job Summary
The successful candidate will work closely with management, project controls, and project managers to analyze project performance at desired levels, identify trends, and support recommendations to improve performance. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Job Duties:
  • Provide and ensure customer support regarding planning, estimating, execution and reporting of projects, specifically funding scenarios and future year planning exercises.
  • Responsible for supporting project managers in the development of monthly project estimates, monitoring project cost performance, funding availability and earned value management related reporting.
  • Responsible for supporting annual workload proposal process and subsequent proposal revisions.
  • Perform budget, financial and cost variance analysis.
  • Responsible for the monthly collection, assimilation, and reporting of project information. This includes analysis of actual and forecasted resource requirements vs contract baseline funding levels.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Monitor actual cost collection for accuracy and comparison to budget.
  • Process actual cost corrections when needed.
  • Coordinate and communicate project and contract funding availability.
  • Support on demand business reporting requests as required.
  • Analyze financial data to provide accurate and timely cost reports to management
  • Prepare and present cost analysis reports for management highlighting trends and variances.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions and procedures as required.
  • Support and attend meetings where cost and schedule reporting and performance are discussed.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:
  • BS degree in an either Finance, Accounting, or Engineering plus seven years of progressive and relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and progressive and relevant experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network.
  • Current U. S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing cost functions, including cost estimating, cost control, financial reporting systems, and cost analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, perform, review, and present financial and cost performance reports.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze complex financial data.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in performing data analysis
  • Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all levels of leadership.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management techniques.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently to meet strict deadlines and as a team player.
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on the advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency with PeopleSoft Financials with special emphasis on PeopleSoft Data Query.
