Job description

Evergreen (Pipeline) Requisition

This requisition is used to build a pipeline of qualified candidates for future opportunities. While there may not be an immediate opening, candidates will be considered as positions become available based on their qualifications and program needs.

Odyssey is seeking experienced Network and Computer Systems Administrators to join our talent community for anticipated opportunities supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Armament Directorate and other Department of Defense (DoD) programs.

Our Network and Computer Systems Administrators support the government with the installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of network and computer systems infrastructure. They ensure the reliability, security, and performance of systems supporting mission-critical operations, and provide technical expertise to maintain compliance with DoD cybersecurity and information assurance requirements.


Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Install, configure, and maintain network and computer systems, including servers, workstations, and associated hardware/software
  • Monitor system performance and ensure availability, reliability, and security of network infrastructure
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with DoD policies
  • Perform system administration tasks including patching, updates, backups, and system recovery
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures in compliance with DoD Information Assurance and RMF requirements
  • Support configuration management and maintain system documentation, including system baselines and accreditation artifacts
  • Assist with network architecture, system upgrades, and technology refresh efforts
  • Support system audits, inspections, and vulnerability assessments
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity, engineering, and program management teams to ensure integrated system operations

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Secret

Education and experience:

  • Journeyman: Associate’s in a related field and 7 years of experience;
    OR Associate’s and 5 years of experience with an IAT Level II;
    OR Bachelor’s in a related field and 5 years of experience;
    OR Bachelor’s and 3 years of experience with an IAT Level II
  • Senior: Associate’s in a related field and 15 years of experience;
    OR Associate’s and 13 years of experience with an IAT Level II;
    OR Bachelor’s in a related field and 11 years of experience;
    OR Bachelor’s and 9 years of experience with an IAT Level II
  • Experience administering network and computer systems in a DoD or enterprise environment
  • Experience supporting secure systems and compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements

Preferred Qualifications

Clearance: Top Secret (TS) or TS/SCI

Certifications:

  • DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP, CCNA Security, or equivalent)

Experience:

  • Experience supporting AFLCMC or other Air Force organizations
  • Experience with Windows and/or Linux system administration in classified environments
  • Experience supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and ATO packages
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Experience with network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls)

Technical Skills

  • System administration (Windows, Linux, or UNIX environments)
  • Network management and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Cybersecurity implementation and compliance (RMF, STIGs, vulnerability management)
  • Configuration management and system documentation
  • Backup and recovery solutions
  • Familiarity with enterprise tools and monitoring systems

Interpersonal Skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
