Position: Network/Telecom Specialist - Mid Level
Location: Raleigh, NC 27607
Client: State of North Carolina
Duration: 12+ Months

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Network/Telecom Specialist to support infrastructure and operations related to Public Health initiatives. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with state employees on network design, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless communication and data management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain hardware/software for computer networks, focusing on LANs/WANs and TCP/IP.
  • Install, configure, and administer network routers and switches.
  • Manage disaster recovery, backup, and archiving procedures.
  • Handle performance tuning, capacity planning, and database administration.
  • Support Apache Tomcat, Wildfly, and systems administration for Linux & Windows clusters.

Required Technical Skills:

  • BASH scripting and shell scripts (1+ year)
  • Wildfly application management (1+ year)
  • MSSQL Administration (2+ years)
  • VMWARE and Hyper-V (2+ years)
